The vision and philosophy of the Travancore Foundation, necessitated carefully designed educational modules and training to equip and develop future care managers to conceive and implement care programs for older adults. We have signed an MoU with the School of Social Work Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) and the Department of Social Work Bharathiar University, Coimbatore to collaborate in the area of education and research on Aging.

PGDACG focuses on concepts and exemplars related to administration and management in geriatrics. Based on theories of aging and principles of geriatric care, students will learn how to develop health promotional activity, disease prevention strategies, and long-term care management of older adults in communities and in institutional care settings. Topics include; common changes among older adults, Principles of geriatric care, fundamentals of senior housing and care, psychosocial and physical changes in aging, different models of care delivery, support services, laws, policies, and programs for older adults and their families, finance, and accounting, human resource management and administration. The duration of the program extends to four semesters over a period of two academic years including 4 semesters of field practicum.

Topics include; Psycho-social and physical changes in aging, different models of care delivery, support services and programs for older adults and their families. Duration of the course will be for two semesters over a period of one academic year including both semesters of field practicum.
Scope Of The Program
The average life expectancy globally is on the rise. Thus the need for trained geriatric care professionals and managers is expected to increase in the near future, especially in India. The PGDGCM focuses on interdisciplinary geriatric care management with fieldwork components. This program prepares graduates to meet the challenges of elder care and unlocks the door to a new career path.
Scholarship
TF ERCA is providing a scholarship program for candidates who are coming from an economically backward situation on the basis of academic excellence and valid government proof. 20% of seats will come under this scholarship scheme.
